I'm s transition from yet another entirely untreatable neurological condition to one that was treatable, but only partially. We think of M. S. Nowadays as the new M. S. Were able to offer people living with M. S. A. Life as though they do not have M. S. Okay. A multidisciplinary team is so important in the care of people living with multiple sclerosis because M. S. Encompasses the whole body. Many health issues as well as many psychosocial issues. When a patient comes to see us from the first visit, if we diagnose them with a neuro inflammatory disease, they actually become part of the registry. We can actually koa late this information in terms of their timeline and these performance outcomes. And give them a graphic that helps them understand their multiple sclerosis and how they are doing the treatment landscape for multiple sclerosis has expanded in recent years, which has been very exciting. There are injectable medications that patients can self administer at home. There are oral therapies that patients can take. And there are also a number of infusion medication options for patients. Care exclusively all day every day at Penn, my role is unique. Not many outpatient medical clinics have social workers, patients come to me with a wide variety of psychosocial issues that they're facing in terms of their diagnosis. The H. Band women's M. S. Program is designed to provide care for women living with multiple sclerosis at all ages. Penn has been a spearhead in really developing many of the clinical trials that have come to approved medications. In addition, the program here at Penn being multidisciplinary, having many, many team members that are involved in the care of M. S. Provides the optimal care for an M. S. Patient. At the Pen M. S.
