Partial knee replacement is performed on patients with osteoarthritis damage who are in severe chronic pain. For some patients with severe arthritis knee pain, a robot-assisted partial knee replacement could be an ideal alternative to a total knee replacement surgery.
The surgery removes the diseased portion while retaining the healthy native bone, ligament and cartilage.
Consult with a surgeon at Penn Musculoskeletal Center to see if a robot-assisted partial knee replacement is right for your patient.
